Who knows where inspiration comes from. Perhaps it arises from desperation. Perhaps it comes from the flukes of the universe, the kindness of the muses. ~Amy Tan
One cool thing I have discovered about blogging is one rarely lacks inspirational sources when it comes time to create a blog post. Such as today, I did the usual things I normally do like, checked my email, went over to WordPress and chit-chatted with a few blogger friends, then later in the day, sat down and knocked out a super-awesome post.
Hi. Hello. Hey, how are you? How was your day? Me?? Oh, just having a wonderful day. Thanks for asking . . . Yah, I’m writing my super-awesome post. I check off the box most of the time right before I publish. How about you? Do you check off, This post is super-awesome box right before you publish? Erm, I think it needs to be checked. Seriously. Why would WordPress have this box but for checking off? You put the check and it makes your post you know . . . super-duper awesome!
Confession time. Um, it’s hard for me to admit my character defects publicly and mind you, I only have
one or two hundreds. Okay, if you insist, and I believe you when you say it will make me a better person if I openly face my beautiful self flaws. A person of great character. Yes, I would like that.
So, here it is. Sometimes I forget to check the box and I go into a major, major epic-panic attack soon after I hit the publish button! OoooNNNoooo! What have I done??? I wanted my post to be SUPER-AWESOME!!!
Sobbing, turning into wailing, turning into more uncontrollable blubbering with fists pounding on desk.
Lights fade out . . . the End.
Who knows where the inspiration for this post came from. Perhaps fifty percent came from my desperation and fifty percent from the muses that kindly made me feel courageous enough to check the box: This post is super-awesome
Where do you find inspiration to create?
Do you feel your inspiration stems from desperation or do you rely on muses to spark your creative juices to flow?
Who or what are your muses? Books? Nature? A certain person or culture?
Cheers to the kindness of our muses!
