The New Morning

It has been awhile since my last Tan Renga and Carpe Diem Haiku Kai is hosting a challenge until January 31st, so let me add one to the list.

Remember the Tan Renga includes two writers, in this case, *Chevrefeuille’s haiku followed by my two, seven-syllable stanza to make the Tan Renga complete.

Dancing in Rhythm

Somehow, I inadvertently missed one Tan Renga challenge. I was going to scrap it but thought ** Kaykuala of Rainbow‘s haiku such a good one; I need to complete it with a two, seven-line completion.

Here we go, the Tan Renga…

rustling leaves dancing
light breeze brushing rosy cheeks
young hearts aflutter**

in rhythm with pounding drums
Tahitian dance performance

Inspiration from Chevrefeuille’s Carpe Diem November Tan Renga Challenge “rustling leaves dancing.”

Style: Tan Renga, where two writers collaborate to complete a haiku with a two, seven-syllable line finish.

A Toast to Abundance

toasting to life’s abundance

Style: Tan Renga, starts as two writers collaborate to finish a **haiku. The goal, to finish a featured haiku written by one writer and completed by the second writer with two, seven-syllable lines.

Today’s haiku comes from **Jazzbumpa or JzB from Retirement Pastels.  I keep thinking how our human connections make as all related.  I pray for our brothers and sisters affected by Typhoon Haiyan that relief and restoration come quickly.

Sweet Memories

Okay, so far I am still keeping up with Chevrefeuille’s Carpe Diem November Tan Renga Challenge and just a couple more weeks to go.

Today’s feature haiku writer is **Managua Gunn aka Pirate from Coffee with yer Buccaneer, also the Ligo Haibun host. Remember the Tan Renga format is to complete the haiku by another writer with a two, seven-syllable cap.
