The Art of Kindness

“Peace begins with a smile.”

The art of kindness starts within me
Ready smiles to radiate
PEACE to the weary
-A boost to the discouraged
-pure sunshine to the sad

Mainly, it is an opportunity to stay disciplined
To master this art of giving away something small as a heart-warming smile
A simple and free gift I cannot buy at any price
However, once acquired and given freely
I have the power within
To radically transform those around me

I can give hope, courage, love
And best of all…
PEACE
To calm a storm of turmoil and
Embrace the heart with a hug
PEACE

smiles all around

The art of kindness
Is within me…
and YOU…

Together, we can harness its power–
let us go forth sharing our smiles
And celebrate
WORLD PEACE
Now.

Every month, members from a community called, , offer up at least one post a month specifically to peace.

Host, KOZO, suggested January posts be about our own practice on kindness that hopefully lead into a more peace-filled existence.

St. Therese of Lisieux once said, “Let us not be justices of the peace, but angels of peace.”

“We can make a difference–right here, right now…to create more peace in the world in 2013…” please visit We Can Make A Difference… for details on becoming an angel of peace.
