Brave Heart

Every morning the radio news report on stories of murders, robberies and life threatening situations that signal my heart to fear this world gone astray….

Monday morning misery

Yet, looking ahead, I go out the door with a brave heart.

The monthly bills seem to come faster and in larger amounts than the monthly salary needed to cover them….

Yet, looking ahead,  I go out the door with a brave heart.

Every day I meet someone struggling with a long-term illness, rising medical bills, depression and a few friends struggling extreme obesity, drug and alcohol addictions, and even abusive relationships. They ask where can we go to be brave, to overcome these overwhelming life struggles?

Look ahead my friend and go out the door with a brave heart because….

Loyalty and devotion lead to bravery. Bravery leads to the spirit of self-sacrifice. The spirit of self-sacrifice creates trust in the power of love.    Morihei Ueshiba

Loyalty and devotion to God

He makes you want to be brave

To overcome life’s obstacles

the sacrifices made each day

binds you tighter to the only One

who can make you brave….

Keep writing bravely!

As we express our gratitude, we must never forget that the highest appreciation is not to utter words, but to live by them.

John Fitzgerald Kennedy

On this November 11, 2011, my thoughts and thankfulness goes out to all the men, women, family and friends who gave up part of their lives to be a living sacrifice so the nation’s preservation of liberty may be enjoyed and shared with all its citizens. As John F. Kennedy said, our spoken gratitude must be transformed into action. It is my prayer today for the veterans who have found little support returning into their communities that as a nation we become aware of your issues and find creative ways to solve the problem.

Good parent(s) recognize living a life of sacrifice when raising their children can produce a righteous adult. It is good to meet the needs of a crying infant no matter how tired the parent is because this can lead to a well-balanced adult. A good parent also knows with proper feeding, clothing, sheltering, educating and loving, a child can grow up to be a well-adjusted, healthy and vibrant adult.

Good teachers know their lesson plans and lectures go way beyond the classroom because students who are most inspired to reach their full potential come from the teachers who sacrifice their lives to reach them. An example of this is from the movie Coach Carter.

Coach Carter

This teacher/coach desired good grades from his players and sacrificed everything in his life to make his students meet this goal. He knew it was the right thing to do. Overcoming all the obstacles, Coach Carter was able to raise, what school staff and parents tagged as underachievers, and put those students on the right path to success.

Good employers who work hard to get a good management staff and a solid company mission statements can have a successful business with good employees. I would think companies like

Microsoft,

to name just a few, know by committing large amounts of time and resources in its managers and general staff, it is the right thing, and their success show this.

The Charming tip for today:

When it comes to knowing when you’re right, a simple look into the amount of goodness and sacrifice involved may show how right on target you may be.
