Weekly Photo Challenge: Masterpiece

Masterpiece. No matter where you are (and where you’ve been), I’m certain you’ve stumbled upon something extraordinary: a place that blows your mind; a work of art or object that speaks to you; or even a location or scene that’s special, unusual, or even magical in some way.”  Cheri Lucas Rowlands

A small trace of the magical realm of field fairies left behind in an almost ring like formation.

Simple fungi. The mushroom…one of nature’s great masterpieces. Keeps the earth in check by breaking down dead plant materials; is an excellent food source – if you can spot the non-poisonous ones – and fuels the imagination in wonderment.

I particularly love the big, chubby mushroom! I keep expecting a tiny elf or fairy to appear!

I too believe nature is the masterpiece. It creates millions of illusions around us every day. Unfortunately we humans do not find leisure time to notice them. I am glad you could notice them.
