Carpe Diem: Tan Renga “In the stillness”

Hello!

Here is an interesting writing challenge from Carpe Diem. This is my first Carpe Diem/Tan Renga entry. A Tan Renga, consists of two haiku poems written by two haiku poets. Cool, huh?

I believe it works this way: The first haiku, written by haiku master, Buson (1716-1784) gives the first stanza…

In the stillness
Between the arrival of guests
The peonies

I continue the above haiku by writing a two-line stanza (7-7) and bring it all together as the Tan Renga.

Ready or not, here I GO:

Perfect tea party blessing

I hope you find time in your busy day to enjoy a little peaceful garden party…soon. 🙂

What a nice peaceful completion of this Tan Renga ‘Simply Charming’. I am so glad that you have found the way towards my daily haiku meme Carpe Diem. I am your host here and I welcome you. Feel free to come again and share your haiku with us all here on Carpe Diem. (On WordPress my name is Basho2012, but on blogger, the base of Carpe Diem, I am Chèvrefeuille (penname of Kristjaan Panneman)

A delightful welcome, Chevrefeuille! Thank you. (You have long names…ha-ha) I’ve been sporadically observing your haiku memes page and posts with some of your regular writers. Bjorn’s beautiful offering inspired me to give it a try on this challenge.
This is a wonderful learning experience – I am truly grateful. ❤
