Weekly Photo Challenge: Change| loose & small…

From the Daily Post| Weekly Photo Challenge, we are to create a new post sharing a picture that says CHANGE.

Okay, so…

What should a person do
Stumbling across loose change?
You look a moment
Just two pennies, shiny and new…

two penny change

Perhaps, dropped from heaven
Arrgh, not worth the effort
To stoop and scoop…
You choose to walk away, but zap! What?

Aunt Jenny’s famous verse appears in your head:

“See a penny, pick it up,
All day long you’ll have good luck.
Give it to a faithful friend,
Then your luck will never end.”

Endless luck is worth going back
And so is the start of a collection
Of small change once added up
Helps fund your favorite charity organization.

What do you think…Is it worth the effort to pick up small change??

will always pick up pennies…I guess I remember my Dad giving us a dollar for something
and even if there was just one or two pennies left…
his hand came out …and we knew to give it to him…
but, in turn…he always had that dollar to hand us …if we needed something…

See a penny, pick it up … Always runs through my mind when I see loose change. I love walking around all day with a weary, grungy penny snug in my pocket that I rescued from a parking lot or sidewalk. I only knew the first part of the saying. Thanks, Sunshine, for the second part. Now I’ll be passing on the luck!

Pick up those pennies. If anything you are cleaning the streets. In college, when everyone was moving out of our apartments, someone left a pickle jar of pennies in the dumpster. It sat there for days. Finally, our upstairs neighbor grabbed the jar and rolled the change. It was over 100 dollars! There was a fresh $100 dollar bill sitting in the trash for 3 days and no one picked it up, not to mention the luck. {{{hugs]}} Kozo

Picking up pennies means luck in my country and I always pick them up, even if it wasn’t lucky, I guess. I ahve a jar where pennies go in and after a while I share it between the children. We have a saying in Germany: if you don’t value the penny you are not worth the pound.

excellent saying on the value of a penny, Ute…i love this German thinking! now, the idea of saving the loose change in a jar to share with the children i bet is a memory your children will always remember. thank you so much for sharing this tip. peace+love♥

Oh it’s such a great idea, absolutely support! And if you find bigger cash lying on the ground and don’t know who dropped it, pick it up and give a part of it for charity as well! ♥
