In this brief life
One may never experience world peace,
But within ourselves,
-Peace lives.

Yet, unless as children, empathy and self-giving is commonly practiced,
Most find much discontent with little tranquility or inner calm-
So, how will peace find its way into the world?

What if we start, here and now, visualizing the inner peace intentions:

Peace lives within all humans, and if we begin today,
Embracing a simple lifestyle, clarifying real needs verses not just wants,
Amplifying real empathy and less selfishness in all relationships,
Celebrating daily challenges with a more cheerful countenance,
Encouraging those we meet everyday with a peaceful demeanor and speech. . .

Then, in this brief life,
The serenity we give may become the necessary fuel
To transform all the unrest and turmoil of this world,
Thus, building the worldwide kingdom of peace we long to embrace.

Have you any other inner peace intentions to share?

Truly wonderful. Peace, calm, and silence must start early with children.
As far as adults, not sure some would even recognize “peaceful demeanor and and speech”. Sad.
(Some adults might fall asleep if they sat still for 5 minutes – stress and exhaustion are so common now)
    Gold star!

you know, Phil, you may be right as far as some adults (because it was never taught early on in life) never finding that inner peace. very sad.
striving towards an ideal is often a very difficult and ongoing challenge…i appreciate you sharing your thoughts. ♥

Beautifully said, Sunshine. People don’t focus enough on these kinds of things because it’s not tangible and so all the other “priorities” of the world take focus. This is a good reminder to refocus what should really be important to us 🙂

How beautiful. One of my favorite scriptures is from the book of Isaiah 26:3, You will keep in perfect peace him whose mind is steadfast, because he trusts in you.
True peace is a gift from God.

Very thought provoking. I believe sometimes peace is contagious. Yours will help others to find theirs. Of course, there are always the dramatic who attempt to destroy peace….you just can’t let them!

Contentment is a favorite topic of mine as we all just can’t find it. It only happens in split-second. When we get something better, we want more. We are goal oriented… We are itchy on any action that we can’t stand to stay put… We are one hellova greedy primitives. I like your E. People oughta learn that.
