Home & the World

Just before sunrise, a soul awakens to the quiet within the home. Without distractions or demands, the only sounds heard are the slow rhythmic breathing that melts the soul to body on the yoga mat. (Well, perhaps an occasional purr from the dozing house cat. :)) Stretching through the Sun Salutation and focusing the mind, every tight muscle begins to loosen with every deep breath. The heart centers itself down the path of relaxation and becomes awake and charged with energy from the sunrise. The day is almost ready to begin. In prayerful pose, the radiant energy expands out from the home to the world…

“May the longtime sun
shine upon you
All love surround you.
And the pure light within you,
Guide your way on. Sat Nam*”

i do believe in energy fields and how important it is to start our day getting centered and grounded. we are given the precious gift of breath and logically, in honor of this great gift we at least should give back love, peace and kindness to the world. it is wonderful to have kindred spirits that are sensitive to energy, light and auras. blessings dear Kozo…you are a wonderful teacher and friend. peace+love ♥

Just wandering around again (with more time…I got distracted by the yoga cats last time)
    That’s such a lovely blessing.
I like to walk the dog as the sun is coming up and go down to a little bridge over a finger of the lake. It’s not quiet – but almost with the early birds – the resident hawk already on his spot surveying the scene and the egrets and herons.
I will be so sad when the building starts on this little island and disrupts it all.
The day always seems to go better when you can welcome the day in peace.
