Just so you know, if you are into borrowing images or ‘whatever(s),’ to bring over to your blog, AJ’s Mom has a short “THINK” before you leap post…promise, it will only take a few minutes and maybe prevent the “how-come-no-one-told-me-about-this” before!
~Happy blogging!! 🙂

SweetJellyBean.com: Beauty, Blog Tweaks

This post has been marinating in my phone’s Drafts section for a day or two now. So while it’s still morning, I thought to crack on this (before little one wakes up) — and as they say, “the early bird catches the worm.” Time difference in consideration, I know that for some, it might not be too early anymore. But I hope I would still catch you with this post.

I wouldn’t have known about this topic if it weren’t for Brittany at creativityarise.com, who shared ‘Bloggers Beware’ post on her blog and linked up a story with it. So thank you, for spreading this to your blogger brethren.  After reading the story, I’ve just been itching to share this with you. Plus, I really like a good chitchat with you guys on this matter, because the paranoia vibe is all over me right now.

      Hello Susan,
All thanks goes to AJ’s Mom over at Sweet Jelly Bean…
It is good to know about these things we normally take for granted because it is so easy to just copy and paste…
      Thanks! 🙂

I have been wanting to do a post showing the normal coloured Springbok in relation to my, rather rare, black ones. I don’t have any photos myself and am now at a total loss as to how to go about getting one that won’t get me into trouble.

Long Life, have you used your Zemanta to see if it brings up images of a normal colored Springbok? Sometimes I look over in Wikimedia Commons as well. It is more time consuming than using Zemanta.
The Springbok is a beautiful animal. 🙂
        Thanks for sharing.

        Hi Susan,
If you want to have Zemanta show up automatically in your edit post page it is easy to set up.
Go to your dashboard>Users>Personal settings>Personal options and scroll down til you see Additional Post Content>check off the box that says, Help me find related content…powered by Zemanta>hit the save button.
        Hope that helps…:)

No troubles, Susan, as we should help each other out…I think it is an unspoken blog courtesy rule. 😉 lol
I hope it was easy to understand, of course, you can always go to the WordPress support page. They probably do a better job explaining…

Thanks for this ! It’s of GREAT use to me since I’m only a newbie at this. Think I’ll trawl through my old posts and load my own pics- luckily it’s that many. Thanks again for such an interesting post 🙂

Great you reblogged this, Sunshine. It will make me more attentive when I download a picture from the internet. I knew when there’s clearly recognizable copyright on a picture/photo, I can’t use it, so I won’t, but now I have to be more attentive if I hesitate. I think the people who make the pictures/photo’s have to be more clear too, so that you know directly if you can use an image or not, don’t you think so?

I too was pleased to read about images we can use on our blogs, Angelswhisper. I now either use photos from my own collection or images that come up on Zemanta, located in our edit page. I think those can be used freely if we give credit to them. Plus, using Zemanta saves a whole lot of time scanning for free images. Ugh, how time consuming!
      Thanks for sharing. 🙂
