I once read to have a charmed life, you got to dance. Dance as though no one is watching you.

Just dance.

Free the heart from all the daily webs  and break free from the chains that hold back our creativity…

Just dance.

donna summer’s last dance…george michaels’s father figure

put on the music and

just dance…

in the yard, on the street, heck, just dance anywhere and with anyone you meet.

slow dancing under the stars…how, oh, so very romantic–

dancing in the street with the first person you meet

just dance.

You say you can’t find the beat…just take the first step and close your eyes

dream the ballroom scene with a hundred dancers

swirling and twirling–you and the beat…

beautiful long gowns and dancing shoes

just dance until your heart

is free.

I love the elegance you portray here, Sunshine–and I must say “I can’t dance like that”. However, I often catch myself starting to boogie in the grocery store, and then I get a hold of myself–but I have a strong suspicion that one day…..I only hope I won’t end up on YouTube!! Have a great weekend–God bless you Big!! love, sis Caddo

Every time I dance my family tells me to stop:) I love watching my granddaughters twirl and dance their little hearts out with no self-consciousness at all. It is indeed freeing.

🙂 Perhaps, Ansuyo, you should surprise your reluctant family members and whisk them away the moment you hear the word…stop…and have them dancing along with you. 🙂 Youngsters know how to keep things ‘lite’ and in the ‘moment’–love watching them 🙂
May you have many dancing moments this week, Ansuyo…thanks for sharing. 🙂

I sooo agree with you. My feet just won’t keep still whenever I hear a beat to a good song, one which I especially like. I ‘m like kid all over again, arms flying all over the place, lots of bum wriggles, etc and when I caught a glimpse of it in my bedroom mirror, boy was I glad no one was watching! 😉

You had me laughing and smiling, Grateful Fairy, especially with your words…lots of bum wriggles! I think of all the calories we burn off by just dancing around. 🙂
Thanks for sharing your beautiful dancing moment.
