The Path Home

Many years have passed,

traveling with familiar faces

but distant shadows hide the real soul–

Where is the road that will lead me home?

One day I ran into darkness whom accompanied me through my

desolate journey.

Collecting remnants of tears–

the wind blew fiercely

against my face.

Reaching for the sun

I became aware . . .

my face

my soul

my whole being belonged to someone else

but who?

Where is the road that will lead me home?

Beauty surrounds me everywhere and in every corner

and the wonder of it all is . . .

my home

and my eternity

began at my very first breath.

The road that leads up to my hometown is

simply the path I am on . . .

nothing changes after the last breath.

I think our hometown could be just that Maggie . . . hauntingly beautiful yet uplifting as well! I enjoyed your “random” Weekly Photo Challenge–it was ancient yet still full of life. You captured the place well. ๐Ÿ™‚
