Simplicity is the final achievement.

After one has played a vast quantity of notes and more notes, it is simplicity that emerges as the crowning reward of art.

I finally dug you out of the Spam grave Liz! You’re right, if we build our life upon simplicity, how much easier we make the journey for ourselves. 🙂 Thanks!

    Hey Caroline,
My oldest daughter is majoring in Music Education~piano, and now that she’s away at college, the piano here has been “on vacation” since no one else plays.
Thanks for visiting and chatting 🙂

To him it may have been simple but just listening to his pieces sound like something very complex to play! I do thank you for sitting and chatting a bit 🙂

I loved listening to piano music but knew deep down inside I had not a drop of talent to play so, when my oldest daughter dropped the smallest hint of musical ability, bam, I enrolled her pronto into piano lessons! It paid off, now she’s studying music education.
      I appreciate your visit 🙂

    yay for Chopin!
and the amazing thing is, with all the incredible pieces he produced, when played well, they really sound simply lovely.
