Flock of Seagulls

Many people fail in life, not for lack of ability or brains or even courage but simply because they have never organized their energies around a goal.     Elbert Hubbard

Today is December 6 and in twenty-five days 2012 will make its grand entrance. As I look back on 2011, sure,  I made a few goals here and there, written them down, also here and there–some on loose folder paper, others got lucky and got listed in a composition notebook–but in essence, and the truth is…. my goal setting management sucked for 2011!

So, I am refusing to go down 2012 as a total loser since Elbert Hubbard noted that the potential to become a one, happens not because you lack skills, intellect or even bravery, but because you failed at organizing  your energies around a goal. Oh, gee Louise!

Hurry, I have to organize my goals before 2012 arrives and tags me once again as the loser of the year!

Let’s see…the easiest way to tackle this would be to put goals in:

Categories…(great organizing compartment)

Fun goals– (of course!)

  • Learn Ballroom dancing
  • Visit Disney World with the children
  • Experience a deluxe spa retreat
  • Own and show horses
  • Write daily about each fun day in 2012

Well, that’s it. I would say being this organized makes me feel 100% better about myself and 2012. Oh, yah!

Say what? You thinking  I need more than Fun goals in the Category section? NOOOO, but I want 2012 to be all about FUN,

fUn and

MORE fUn.

That’s it, I’m turning in now, and until tomorrow….

....release your words like a flock of seagulls and have yourself a FUN writing day!

It’s a great goal to focus on.

If you set your goals around the things you have passion for some of it might be work – but it will all be fun. Here’s to a great 2012 of reaching your goals!

Oh, this SO made me laugh–I can barely stop to type!! Yeah, really–I want a totally fun 2012 too! Here’s what I believe: if you’re having a great time (fun), it’s amazing how the constructive, productive, creative stuff manages to fall into its place in the schedule (without you having to make a list of categories for it). Seriously–well, semi-seriously…

I admire the “ballroom dancing” goal–wouldn’t work for me on various levels, mostly because of the “rules and structure” defined within. I’m better at free form/verse…See you later!

Actually, I think the ballroom dancing goal is so I can wear those fancy dresses and shoes! *wink-wink! It’s probably way too hard for me to grasp these days…
Of course I’ll see ya later, neighbor!
